Each node represents either an article published in the JRME or a journal article, book, book chapter, or other reference that the published article cites. The node size is proportional to citation count: more citations means larger nodes. Within each map, node/overlay color indicates the densely connectioned subgroups. These subgroups correspond to the conversation groups or topics being discussed by mathematics education researchers.
